What makes AGAPE products different from others?

You will be receiving products and ingredients that we love and use ourselves and are approved by our chemist and tested by our product assessment panel. Our goal is that our products feel good, smell good and DO good so that you will love your skin and hair as a result of using them.

Who are your products for?

What do you use in your products?

Agape Body and Soul products are made with safe, plant-based ingredients from around the world. We make every effort to source ethically, sustainably, and organically when the marketplace allows. Each ingredient has a purpose., if it doesn’t serve a purpose, it doesn’t survive our formulation process.

Where and how do you make your products?

All of our formulations are hand-crafted in our home laboratory which has dedicated lab production, storage and inventory management/shipping spaces.
Although this is not a requirement, we strictly follow the FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practice Guidelines for Cosmetics.

What ingredients do you NOT use?

We avoid artificial substances, synthetic preservatives, colors, fragrances, and other chemical additives that have potentially toxic health effects. Some of the most commonly found ingredients classes that we reject:

Alcohols
Ammonium lauryl sulfate
Benzophenones
BHA
Ethanolamine derivatives
Formaldehyde
Lanolin
PEG derivatives
Parabens
Phthalates
Polysorbate 60
Propylene glycol
Sodium hydroxide
Sodium laurel sulfate
Triclosan

Why don't you make clinical claims about what the products can do such as “eliminates acne “ or “prevents eczema” ?

The FDA has set regulations that mandate the following:

“…if a product is marketed with claims for purposes such as treating or preventing disease or affecting the structure or function of the body—including the skin—it’s a drug according to the law, and it must meet the requirements for drugs.”

We at Agape are NOT a drug company and, because of our corporate commitment to integrity, we do not market our products with such deceptive language.

That said, we strongly believe in the research that supports our formulation process and we routinely share the clinical data about our ingredients for our customers to make informed decisions.
